Don't Walk Away

So I never walk away from a bathtub with my little ones in it. But Colin is now 3 and sometimes I will go grab something or throw a diaper away if it is only him in the tub. I had just finished washing Jennsen and got her in her jammies. She likes to talk to Colin while he's in the tub so I walked away for a moment and came back into the bathroom to find this.....

The best part was that the top part of Jennsen was not wet, meaning that she somehow got into the tub without getting wet from the chest up

Memories

I was recently going through the pictures on my computer and I couldn't help loving these old pictures. Colin eating popcorn with Daddy and Grandpa.
This is Colin when he was about 6-7 months old, when we were living in Vernal.
The day we brought Jennsen home from the hospital. She was so tiny, and Colin was so sweet to her.
Colin at 18 months. It helps to go back and remember these fleeting moments. It makes me appreciate all the new ones I'm having now.

Happy Holidays

Merry Christmas friends and family! Christmas was great this year, we got to spend time with a lot of family and we got to spend a lot of time with each other (which has been rare this last semester). Colin and Jennsen were apparently really good this year (actually not really a surprise, they are complete angels, how did we ever get so lucky?), they got lots of great presents. On Christmas morning Colin woke up grumpy but the second he saw new toys he was ready for a good day.
There's nothing like doing a good ABC puzzle together!
The one problem with Christmas is that I always want to spoil my kids. If you had this kid looking up at you like this all the time, wouldn't you want to spoil him too?!

Jennsen got a new best friend for Christmas. This is Snow White and they do everything together. Eat, sleep, chase brother around the house. Jennsen always wraps her arm around snow and holds her or she grabs one hand, it is the cutest thing ever. Thanks Mac!

Happy Family

Here we are. Busy. But very happy. Colin is two and a half and Jennsen is nine months. Jennsen wants to be grown up already, and is getting very close to start walking. These two play very well together.
Jennsen and mommy. I don't take many pictures of just me and my kids, I just adore Jennsen's little face, in this picture. She has no shortage of smiles.
I think this picture is so funny. You can tell how much they look like each other. Jennsen has started giving daddy kisses and giggles like crazy when they play together.
For halloween Colin went as a little 30's-40's guy. (I don't know exactly, he was just cute) It took a little while before he got excited about it but when he did, he was good at it, and got lots of candy and compliments. Jennsen went as a dalmation puppy, I don't have a good picture of her in costume because she kept taking off the ears and eating them, and they weren't eatable. (you can see her crawling around in the background here)
We were taking pictures of Jennsen, and Colin thought we needed more pictures of him so he jumped in front of the camera. Jennsen wasn't so happy about the focus being taken away from her. These two really do get along great. They are so funny together.

Ahhh . . . The Good Life

Colin and Jennsen are getting bigger every day and as exciting as it is, I want them to stop it :)
If I don't let Colin outside enough he becomes a little terror (typical 2 year old), luckily one of the neighbor girls loves to come over and ask him to come play outside with her. I think he even said her name yesterday, Kyra, which is a pretty big deal (I can't be sure if he said it or not because he was crying after he came inside and it was hard to tell, but that's what it sounded like).
Jennsen is a very big girl, and I mean that in every sense of the word. I think she hit another growth spurt recently because she would not stop eating. She is only 6 1/2 months old but she was eating 2-3 jars of solids (with ceral mixed in) and 6 bottles of 6 oz, all in one day! For those of you who don't know, that's alot!
Toward the end of her meal she decided that she wasn't getting it fast enough and grabbed the bowl and started guzzling. She was quite the mess afterward but it was worth it to see how funny she can be. I believe this is carrots or squash that she is eating, we just started green beans though and she's not nearly as enthusiastic about eating them.
Colin hurt his foot the other day, it has a big ol' bruise on it now (running on short little legs makes it difficult to cut corners). To help him stop crying, Ben put him in our bed with his Ipod and some old headphones. It worked, Colin thought it was the coolest thing ever.

No more tears. Just a happy little rockin' roller. My guess is that it's either "Fire Burning" or "Fireflies" that he is listening to. Then again it might be Journey.

Playtime

Jennsen is now 6 months old. We are trying solid foods now, mostly she just likes chewing on the spoon, but who can blame her she has teeth coming in.
Colin has found a new favorite hangout spot. He loves to sit on the top shelf in our linen closet. I know, weird!
A few days ago we were hanging out with some of our friends, Addy and Brayden. Addy and Jennsen played together on the floor until Addy got hungry and Jennsen fell asleep.
This is Colin and Brayden eating sandwiches together. After this they chased each other around the room and played basketball. We're lucky to have such great friends.

So Colin is now 2, Jennsen is 5 months, and me and Ben have been married for 4 years! Wow! Anybody want to tell me how lucky I am? No need. I feel lucky! Ben's great and the kids are wonderful. Colin and Jennsen are both angels from heaven. Colin is so funny as he is getting older. Just the other day I asked him to give me a kiss and he grabbed my face between his little hands and kissed me right on the face, he's got so much personality. Jennsen has found her toes and has two of her teeth.

Jennsen loves attention, especially from her daddy.
Colin loves outside, and anyone who will take him.
So these are my angels. They are really funny and great to be around.

Does anyone else think of Ben? :)
