Jennsen Rae

Sorry everybody. Things get a little crazy after having your second baby, and I've seriously neglected the blog. These pictures were taken by my sister-in-law, Cori. She does great work. These pictures of Jennsen when she was only a week old.
I love her in red. I think it is so cute.
Jennsen was very good for the pictures, just slept the whole time. Of course she's so little that she rarely does anything else.
Cori took a picture of Jennsen on the blanket I made. I wanted to have something to bring Jennsen home in, since we were so unprepared for Colin, so I made her this blanket. I loved it so much I decided that I need to make more.

Jennsen is so sweet. She is a good little baby, sleeps and eats very well. She is already getting so big, she is 3 months old now, I can't even believe it. I'll try and put some new pictures up as soon as I can.

She's Here!

Little Jennsen Rae is here. She's a little early but she is a good healthy baby. These aren't the best pictures, but I will post more later.
Here she is holding daddy's hand after they put in her IV.
Brand new baby. So sweet.
Mommy is very happy to have Jennsen home and healthy. We are a very lucky family to be blessed with such a sweet little girl.

Merry Christmas

Once again, it has been awhile. Sorry. I can't believe the new year is already here and I'm about to pop with a new baby. So far everything is going great, but it probably won't be much longer till we have a little girl around.
Colin is getting cuter everyday. He's started throwing tantrums, but if this is what the terrible twos are going to be like, I'll take it! He is still such an angel.

He's licking his fingers while eating a chocolate cupcake. I know I spoil him. He is still a great eater and he is getting so big, but he is still a very skinny boy.

Colin loves to think that he is a grown up. Here him and daddy are working on their homework (actually just daddy is), but Colin is so happy to be doing anything like daddy.
Drew, Ash and the boys came and stayed over at my parents house for Christmas. Colin loved having his cousins to play with. Especially Mac, who calls him "Colly Wolly" and Colin loves to follow him around. They are watching Thomas together on Colin's little TV.Everybody loves a good dance party. Ben and Annie took the three boys into the front room and turned on some music, and they went wild. After awhile just about everybody joined them and we had a big dance party. Colin was into it the most. He loves to dance.

Mac started adding dance moves like tackling his brother Gray and then Gray would get up and immeadiately tackle Colin, who didn't think it was as fun. It was great to have them around for Christmas.

Big Brother

Colin is such a big boy, and yes, for those of you who don't know I'm pregnant with a little girl, due March 3rd. We are trying to get Colin prepared for a little sister. He already acts very grown up.

Colin really likes staying with Grandma and Grandpa or "GA-GA". He's a very good hugger and loves to have "GA-GA" share his food.
Colin loves to watch Signing Time and he now signs quite a few words. He signs mom, dad, dog, bird, cat, more, food, flower, milk, water and quite a few others. Colin and Daddy have a good time together. They are so alike it's almost creepy.

This last picture is of Colin eating his own bowl of popcorn while watching a movie. He saw that I had the camera and gave me the biggest grin. He is such a cheese ball.

FOOD!!!!

Colin is an eating machine. Just the other day we had chedderwursts for dinner. I cut up one for Colin knowing that I would have to help him finish it and when I pulled out a hogi roll to cut up he got mad at me for not giving him the whole thing, so I did knowing that I would probably end up throwing half of it away as a slobbery mess. Colin ate the entire roll and all but a bite of the chedderwurst and then topped it off with a serving of fruit. And yet he is still a pretty skinny little boy, but plenty healthy.
Colin will eat his fill and then when we take him out of his highchair he will come and demand that we feed him what we are eating too. He is quite the character.

Colin found a bag of fruit bits in his diaper bag. This is him challenging me to get mad at him after I found a strawberry/banana mess all over the kitchen and him.

We found out during his birthday parties that Colin was not a big fan of cake, that was until we tried chocolate cupcakes. This is Colin reaching for more off of mommy's plate. We keep trying new things with Colin. This is Colin eating spaghetti. He loves it. I hesitate to give it to him because he makes such a mess (almost as bad as when he eats fried rice, which is another favorite), but seeing his happy face is enough for me to let him have it.
Bath time for Colin. He loves his bath too, which is good because after eating he usually needs one.

Colin loves his daddy. We've noticed a lot of similarities between the two. Besides looks and similar childhood personalities, Colin loves my mom's homemade grapejuice, peaches, and having his back stracthed. Colin just recently has decided that he needs to cuddle with Daddy before going to sleep, and Daddy has to scratch his back.

Birthday Boy

This is a little late but Colin turned 1 on May 21st! Yeah! He weighs almost 23 lbs and is just a little underweight for his age, but he is tall and still has a big head to make up for it. He is almost walking. He stands up all the time and plays with toys or dances but he just doesn't want to move without holding our hands. He got a little fire truck for his birthday that he likes to push around and I think that has helped with his ability to walk.

Colin is not much into cake. This is him being skeptical of me putting messy food in front of him and expecting him to eat.
Once he tried it he was a little happier but didn't eat much. He liked the taste but not the texture. He tried to share with everyone because that's what we do with him. The trick was to clean him up before he wanted to share his cake with the carpet and camera.
We truly are lucky to have such a good boy. Happy 1st Birthday Colin!

I LIKE TO EAT!

Colin has been a good eater for quite some time. We recently had him weighed and they told us that from 6 months to 12 months, babies are supposed to gain about 3 lbs. Colin gained 4 1/2. And that was after 2 ear infections and a form of the measles (now he's teething. Talk about "When it rains, it pours"). So we are proud of our little tubby (he's still pretty skinny). These pictures kill me, it's becoming harder and harder to feed him without getting food everywhere.
Food is great.
Hey mom is there anymore food?

This is his face when he knows we're proud of him for eating so much.
