Ski-sons greetings from the Vernalites!!!
Yes we are spending this Christmas in Vernal. How depressing is that? But it is ok because I(Ben) had a whole week off prior to Christmas and we celebrated with Amy's family early. Here are a few pictures from that week.
Here are our pictures of celebrating here in the Hotel. I am working the entire Holiday, non stop. Eve Day and day after. But the tree makes it very christmas like.
He was so full after drinking this whole pepsi, and he burped for an hour it seemed, but he had so much energy he got into every thing in the room.
Merry christmas everyone!

More Pictures!!
The first experiment with solids. He was so confused but thrilled because for weeks he has been facinated by all the foods that his mother and I have been eating. I was on one particular day drinking a Dr. Pepper(shocking) and as i was carrying Colin and my drink at the same time. Suddenly Colin dunked his hand to the bottom of my glass and before I could react jammed his fist into his mouth. I think it cured him of wanting anymore, because he was making the worst faces. Where is the camera when you need it? I was burping on purpose by opening my throat and sucking in huge amounts of air, something I do fairly often. Colin heard me burp and just had a ball. These next few photos are his reactions to my burping loud and long. He particularly enjoyed the violent ones. These fall pictures were taken in the yard of the Landmark Inn Bed and Breakfast here in Vernal, my place of work. Colin was bundled up because it was butt cold. The most common backdrop for pictures is this lovely portion of our RV, where Colin spends the majority of his time. Does the boredom show?

whew
Well Colin sure does change. We still are doing ok in vernal... We guess. We went to the Giants Cardinals game in Pheonix last weekend. It was fun. Our friends dad texted them during the game to inform them that their granmother,(who was reporting on her recent mission) had mentioned in her talk that she was glad that all of her grandkids were their to see her speak. Exept for Kyle who went to a foot ball game instead. Wow. Anyway enjoy the many moods of Colin.

Favorite pictures of Colin
So we thought we might do a few pictures that we consider to be our favorites. Colin is almost 6 months old! I can't believe it. So here we go:
THese are Amy Jo's favorites. THis is exactly what Colin is like. He is curious and intent. But he is so mellow. He loves to just be around people. Although his teeth growing in have been a little rough.

The Monkey Strangler
Yes our son likes to strangle this monkey. But you have to give him some credit. He thought that the monkey stole his dad and the monkey just laughed maniacally everytime we pressed its foot, so it resorted to strangling until daddy came home from work. Now Colin just eats the monkeys foot whenever he gets a chance.
New things Colin likes:
1. Sucking on everything
2. Watching Daddy do anything; eating, dressing, reading, talking, etc. . .
3. Listening to mommy read The Hobbit
4. Speaking as much gibberish as possible
5. Horsey rides
6. Flying
7. Holding his own bottle
8. Early morning (he doesn't cry, he's just happy)
9. Getting his diaper changed (always a favorite)
10. Outside

Colin's 4th Monthiversary
So Colin James just turned 4 months old recently. We went to the doctor and he told us that Colin's development is going wonderfully. He should only be 2 1/2 months old right now since he was born 6 weeks early. But he is almost as developed as a normal 4 month old baby. He is 25 inches long which is average for 4 months, he weighs 14 lbs (27 percentile for his age), and his head is in the 75 percentile (not a big surprise). He is smiling and laughing a lot, he sleeps through the night already (yay!) and he always smiles when he wakes up. Such a happy healthy boy. He sure has come a long way.
Here he is in the hospital. So many tubes and IV's. Poor little guy. He spent 4 weeks in the hospital.
After we got home. He looks so much like mommy.
Let's face it. He is definately his daddy's boy.
So that's our little angel. He is getting so big, too fast. Where does the time go? We sure are lucky to have him and we coudn't be happier.

The walk to cure the diabetically oppressed, or the Walk to Cure Diabetes.2008
Thank you to everyone that came and supported us this year! We had fun, but there is always work to be done so help us raise funds so that Amy's lifestyle can be better. see you all next year!
Here are the McCallister boys. So handsome. The McCallister's store Tai Pan is a big sponser every year.
This is the macarena baby. The only way I know how. Sexy.
We thought that this was a little bit effective. We had Colin 6 weeks premature due to complications that the doctors have linked to diabetes. So Colin posing with this sign(which was originally a joke) had some significance.
This one softens it up a bit.
Kyle and Michelle Stoddard our dear friends came with their son Brayden who is 1 yeart old. This was their first year. Sam and Kat Nelson, who are siblings on either side of Ben's Mullet. They may have been twice now. We have the best friends in the world.
Bruce and Jed setting a fever pace. Jed recently ran a 100 mile race in just over a day. So this walk was a breeze for him. Bruce handled it almost as well.
This clown(he is a juggler) was juggling and or dropping pins and balls, and when I asked if Colin and I could get a picture he was truly flattered. Good luck future Elder!
Here are the Melendai. Terry Melendez was a main sponser of the walk, donating $10,000 dollars. Wow. Their team was called the Ally Gators. Ally(gator costume) was diagnosed with type one diabetes 5 months ago.
This isn't real. Yet.
This was a desperate attempt at killing time.
Kyle was excited to be there.
So were Annie and Ben's Mom
Finally some one with a good attitude! Thank you Sam!
Ben's Mom was only interested in it doubling as exercise. People thought that she stole a baby.
Here is the team group picture, minus adam cheri and reesa. For name's see amy.
Again it is hard to believe how cute a little blob of baby can be.
